Smart North America, Inc. offers a comprehensive 40-hour NABCEP PV Associate training program designed to prepare students for careers in the solar industry and to qualify them to sit for the NABCEP PV Associate Exam.

About the NABCEP PV Associate Credential

The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) PV Associate credential demonstrates foundational knowledge in:

• Solar energy fundamentals
• Electrical theory and safety
• PV system components
• System sizing and design
• National Electrical Code (NEC) compliance
• Installation practices
• Commissioning and troubleshooting

Program Structure – 40 Total Hours

Part I – Foundations of Solar PV (20 Hours)

• Solar radiation and site assessment
• Electrical fundamentals and power calculations
• Modules, inverters, batteries
• System configurations (grid-tied, hybrid, off-grid)
• OSHA and safety best practices

Part II – PV Design, Code & Exam Preparation (20 Hours)

• NEC requirements for PV systems
• Rapid shutdown and grounding
• Wire sizing and voltage drop
• Load calculations and system sizing
• Practice exam preparation

Upon successful completion:

• Students will be entered into the NABCEP database as qualified.
• We assist with exam registration and scheduling.
• Official completion documentation is provided.

Students may register for the NABCEP PV Associate Exam only after Smart North America verifies and submits their qualification to NABCEP.

Refund Policy (Visa & MasterCard Compliant)

• Full refund minus $50 processing fee if requested on or before March 18, 2026.
• 75% refund (25% cancellation fee) if requested on or before April 4, 2026.
• No refunds within 14 days of scheduled class start date.

Refunds will be issued in the same form of payment originally received. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.

Students unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances may attend a future course when space is available and pre-approval is granted in writing.
